Flower Care Information
Hello there!
If you have just bought a mini bunch of flowers, thank you so much for supporting this blossoming floral company. If you have made your way here in any other way - I hope that this flower care information is something you can save and use as a reference at any point in the future.
Follow these steps directly after getting your flowers home
Fill your clean vase to the top with room temperature water.
Make sure there are no leaves on the stems of your flowers that will go into the water. Generally a premade bunch from Petals by Alex is fully cleaned, but stragglers can always happen. Usually, flowers bought from the grocery store need to be fully cleaned so take the time to clean each stem before arranging them in their vase. (check back for more information on flower processing!)
Use a clean pair of scissors or flower clippers to snip ¼’’ off of the stems at a 45 degree angle. Place in a vase.
How to keep flowers fresh
Keep flowers out of direct sunlight and heat
Keep flowers away from fruit
Refresh murky water every other day
Make sure water is full in the vase at al times
Room temperature water is best
As flowers wilt, remove the dying blooms and refresh the water. Some blooms have a shorter lifespan than others. Removing these ASAP will reduce bacterial growth in the water and keep the other flowers happy.
